Tip of the Week – Ergonomics – Sept 19/22

Ergonomics for People Working from Home:  This is something that office spaces have been working on perfecting over the last decade to create a better, healthier work place environment for the health and safety of their employees.

Now that a lot of people are working from home, they may start having issues they will need to deal with as their work space may not be ideal for their bodies.

I always wondered if this stuff actually worked and then I started using an ergonomic mouse and keyboard and was pleasantly surprised at how much stress they did take off my wrist.  At the end of the week, my arms and wrists were tired until I purchased those and now they aren’t tired anymore – so there is definitely something to this.

In my office I have created a standing work station and a sitting work station to give me the option of switching things up.  They both have their uses and I am thankful that I took the time to do that.  I also make sure that my screen is in the right position for my head, neck and eyes, otherwise I tend to have headaches and sore muscles in my shoulders.

Here are some links to help with creating a better work space that provides more comfort when working from home.
