Tip of the Week – Starting a Business – Nov 28/22

Starting a Business: During the pandemic, I think more people have thought about going out on their own than ever before.

But where do you start?

First comes the idea.

Next, the concept.

Will it be online or brick and mortar?

Will it be sole proprietorship or how will it be set up?  Who will all be involved?

Next, comes the name.

After that, there are many different steps to reserving your name, registering, creating & building a business plan, etc.

When you are thinking of starting a business, make sure to set it up right from the beginning.  Set the foundation and build on that.  Then, when it grows, it will be set up properly and you won’t have to go back and redo steps that could have been done before you got busy.

A very important step to do in the very beginning is a SWOT – strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.  It is a good tool to help with some decisions.
