Tip of the Week – Mergers & Acquisitions – Apr 1/24

Mergers & Acquisitions:  A new trend over the past few years is companies merging or buying other companies to become a power house in their industry.

Some companies have almost made this a habit and that is their main focus.

It is smart business – buying up your competition or becoming more competitive by getting into different markets, or adding more variety into your current package.

However, sometimes in this being the focal point, the foundation begins to get stretched and gaps begin to open and grow.

As you acquire more, think about the foundation – think about the training needed or cross training to provide the best service for your customers, think about your current employees and new employees and how that meshes…

When being in this situation, always keep your foundation and the structure that is going to fit best to keep that foundation – foundational in mind, make sure you have the different pillars of the foundation set.

Questions to Ponder:

Aside from the business aspect of purchasing or merging, what is the next step?

Does management have a structure in place – a process, or are people floundering?

Do you even think beyond the purchase?

What is the current foundation like from your perspective?

What is the current foundation like from others perspectives?
